Connecting Telegram
Connecting Telegram delivers instant booking alerts to your phone or a group the moment a reservation is made — no need to keep your dashboard open. Alerts include guest name, party size, time, and any special requests.
- In Settings → Notifications, click "Connect Telegram".
- Choose "Personal chat" to receive alerts directly in Telegram, or "Group chat" to notify a group you manage. If using a group, make sure it already exists in Telegram before continuing.
- Telegram opens automatically. For personal chat, tap Start with the Buqq bot. For group chat, select the group you want to add the bot to.
- Return to Settings — your Telegram connection should now show as active.
- Click "Send test alert" to confirm you receive a test message.
Disconnecting Telegram
Click Disconnect in the Notifications section to remove the Telegram connection. Your dashboard continues to work normally and email alerts are unaffected.
Cancellation policy#
Your cancellation policy is shown on the booking page before the guest submits, and is included in their confirmation email. Use it to set expectations about last-minute cancellations.
- Cancellation policy text
- Free text displayed to guests on the booking page and in confirmation emails. Plain text only. Leave blank to show no cancellation policy.
Arrival notes
Arrival notes appear in the booking confirmation email sent to guests. Use them to give practical directions (e.g. "Enter via the side door on Green Street") or instructions (e.g. "Please contact us if your party size changes").
Slug editing#
Your URL slug is the unique identifier in your booking URL:buqq.online/booking/your-slug
You can change your slug in Settings → Slug. As you type, Buqq checks in real time whether the slug is available. Valid slugs use only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
