Profile Setup

Build a compelling public profile that helps diners find and choose your restaurant.

Your public profile is what diners see when they visit your restaurant page or find you through Explore. A complete profile drives more bookings — restaurants with gallery photos and a filled-in description convert significantly better than bare listings.

All profile fields are edited in Settings → Profile inside your dashboard.

Restaurant profile image#

The restaurant profile image appears as your restaurant's avatar in the Explore listing grid, search results, and on your public booking page. Upload a square logo or a close-cropped food photo for the best result.

Restaurant profile image
Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP. Recommended size: 400×400 px or larger. Maximum file size: 5 MB. The image is cropped to a circle in the listing grid.
Use a photo with a plain or blurred background — busy images can be difficult to see when displayed as a small avatar.

The gallery appears as a scrollable image strip at the top of your public restaurant page. Add up to twelve photos showing your dining room, dishes, bar, or outdoor seating.

  1. Go to Settings → Profile and scroll to the Gallery images section.
  2. Click "Add images" and select one or more photos.
  3. Repeat until you have added all the images you want (up to 12).
  4. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP. Maximum 5 MB per image. Gallery images are displayed at 16:9 aspect ratio.

Welcome message#

The welcome message appears at the top of your booking page, just above the slot picker. It's your first impression — use it to set expectations and build excitement.

Welcome message
Short greeting shown on the booking page. Aim for 1–2 sentences. Plain text only, no markdown.
Examples of effective welcome messages
  • "Book your table at The Garden Room — we look forward to welcoming you."
  • "Reservations available Tuesday–Sunday. Groups of 7 or more, please call us directly."
  • "Weekend tables fill fast — book early to avoid disappointment."

Description#

The description is a longer text block shown on your public restaurant profile page. Write 2–4 sentences covering your cuisine, atmosphere, and what makes your restaurant special.

Description
Free-form text up to 600 characters. Appears on your profile page beneath your name and highlights.

Address & map#

Your address is displayed on the booking confirmation page and your profile, with a link to Google Maps so guests can navigate easily.

Address
Full street address shown on your profile and booking confirmations.
Google Maps URL
Paste a Google Maps share link to your restaurant. Appears as a 'Get directions' button on the confirmation page.
Country / City
Used to derive your restaurant's timezone automatically. All bookings are stored and displayed in your local time.
Changing your city updates your timezone. All new bookings will use the new timezone. Existing bookings are not affected.

Digital menu#

Buqq gives you two ways to share your menu with guests before they book. Both are optional but help answer the most common pre-booking question: "What do you serve?"

Menu link
A URL to your online menu or external menu page (e.g. your website or a third-party menu service). Displayed as a link on your restaurant profile.
Menu files
Upload your menu as a PDF or image (JPEG, PNG, WebP). Maximum 10 MB per file. Displayed on your profile page for guests to browse before booking. You can upload multiple files and replace them at any time.

Feature tags#

Feature tags are short labels that appear on your Explore listing and profile page. They help diners quickly understand your offering.

Example tags

Typical tags include cuisine type (e.g. Italian, Sushi), dietary options (Vegan-friendly, Gluten-free), and atmosphere (Rooftop, Fine dining, Family-friendly).

Aim for 3–6 tags. Too many dilutes the signal — pick the ones that genuinely differentiate your restaurant.
