Dashboard Overview

Your operations home — everything you need to run the day from one screen.

The dashboard is your operations home. It shows today's bookings and gives you quick access to the controls you need to run the day. Navigate to it any time by clicking Dashboard in the left sidebar.

Today's stats#

Four stat cards sit at the top of the dashboard, giving you an at-a-glance view of the day's numbers.

Reservations
Total reservations for the selected day.
Guests
Total number of guests across all bookings for the selected day.
Checked in
Guests you have marked as arrived using the check-in action.
Pending
Bookings not yet checked in, cancelled, or marked as no-show.
When you are viewing today, the dashboard checks for new bookings every 30 seconds. If a new booking arrives while the page is open, a notification appears and the counts update automatically — no refresh needed.

Accepting bookings toggle#

The Accepting bookingstoggle is the master switch for online reservations. When toggled off, your booking page shows "Not currently accepting bookings" and guests cannot submit a reservation. Toggle it back on at any time to resume.

This toggle affects all future slots, not just today. Use a closure block in Settings → Availability if you only want to block a specific date.

Booking URL#

Your booking URL is displayed prominently in the dashboard header. Two action buttons let you:

  • Copy — Copies buqq.online/booking/your-slug to your clipboard ready to paste anywhere.
  • Open — Opens your public booking page in a new tab so you can preview what guests see.

Changing your URL slug

Your URL slug is the unique identifier in your booking link — for example, the the-oak-room part of buqq.online/booking/the-oak-room. It is set during onboarding and can be changed in Settings → Slug. Note that changing your slug invalidates any previously shared links — update them everywhere you have published your booking URL.

Day picker#

The day picker below the stat cards lets you view reservations for any date, past or future. Click any date to load that day's bookings into the table. Today is selected by default.

The search bar above the reservations table filters by guest name, email, phone number, or booking reference. The results update as you type — no need to press Enter.

Use the booking reference (e.g. XJ4KR2) for instant lookup when a guest calls to confirm or cancel.

Manual bookings#

Use the Add booking button to create a reservation on behalf of a guest — useful for phone-in bookings or walk-ins. Fill in the guest details, party size, and time slot, then submit. Manual bookings count against capacity just like online bookings.

Manual bookings send a confirmation email to the guest and a merchant alert to you — the same as an online booking.

Check in#

When a guest arrives, click the check-in icon on their reservation row to mark them as arrived. The status badge updates to Checked in immediately.

  1. Find the reservation in the table — use the search bar or scroll to the booking time.
  2. Click the check-in icon (tick) on the right side of the row.
  3. The status badge updates to Checked in.
On mobile, tap the menu button on the card to access the Check in action.

Cancelling a booking#

To cancel a booking, click the cancel icon on the reservation row. Cancelled bookings remain in the table greyed out — they are not deleted. Cancelling releases the slot capacity so another guest can book that time.

Buqq automatically sends a cancellation email to the guest when you cancel from the dashboard.

No-shows#

If a guest fails to arrive, click the no-show icon on their reservation row. This updates the status to No show and records it in your analytics so you can track no-show rates over time.

Tracking no-shows accurately gives you meaningful data in the Analytics section. A high no-show rate may indicate you need a stricter cancellation policy.
